Inspired by AwardGuard (1991–2003), reimagined

Your points are safe.
Your path to use them
might not be.

Amex, Chase, Citi and Capital One have all cut a major transfer partner in the past two years — sometimes with no warning at all. MileProtection pays you automatically the moment your bank drops a partner you're covered for. No claims. No calls.

Devaluation isn't the only risk.

Loyalty currencies can fail you in two different ways. We built a separate, purpose-priced product for each.

Mile Protection
Protects what your points are worth
A program quietly devalues — the same miles buy less. MP Index pays automatically when our index confirms a drop past your threshold.

Transfer Partner Protection
Protects where your points can go
Your bank removes a transfer partner entirely — the redemption path itself disappears, whether or not the points had already lost value.
You're looking at this one

Pick the link. We watch it. You get paid.

No balance to track, no claim to file for your standard payout. One program, one partner, one clear trigger.

Choose your program and partner

Tell us your issuer (Amex, Chase, Citi, Capital One, Bilt or Wells Fargo) and the one transfer partner you most rely on. That single link is what's covered.

We monitor it daily

Our system watches for suspension notices and confirmed discontinuations — signals that gave weeks of warning before several major 2025 cuts, though not always.

You're paid automatically

If your link is confirmed discontinued, you choose: an instant flat cash payout, or a larger travel voucher toward your next redemption. Either way, no claims process required.

Choose how much protection you want.

Every tier covers one program-partner link of your choice. Take your payout as a cash amount, or as a larger travel credit toward your next redemption.

Why the voucher pays more: not every travel credit gets used — some members never book before it expires. We price the voucher on that basis, so a bigger number is available to you at no extra premium. Prefer certainty? Take the cash payout instead — it's yours immediately, no expiry, no booking required.

How we keep this sustainable.

Three structural rules — priced from the same 657 program-year history above — that protect the pool for everyone.

Per-partner concentration cap
Total coverage on any single named partner — across every issuer combined — is capped as a share of the book. No one partner's decision can expose us disproportionately.
Early-warning enrollment freeze
When a transfer link shows a suspension or maintenance notice, we pause new enrollment on that link until it's resolved. Some discontinuations give no warning at all — this helps when one exists.
Catastrophic event clause
If more than 3 distinct partners are discontinued industry-wide within a rolling 90 days — well beyond anything in our backtested history — later claims in that window are reduced. Existing members are always notified.

This isn't a new idea. It's a modernized one.

From 1991 to 2003, AwardGuard protected 80,000 frequent flyer members against exactly this kind of loss — until its reinsurance broker's sudden death, not lack of demand, ended the program. We built the successor.
